Reports Panel
The Reports panel is displayed after you select Reports on the left-side menu bar. It contains these sections:
A search bar to search for reports. Open reports from the search results list or perform actions on them via the ellipsis icon that appears on the right when you hover over a report.
Published tab: Displays published reports. They can be viewed either by folder or by template.

Unpublished tab: Displays unpublished reports, grouped by template.
For Designers the Unpublished tab only includes reports authored by that user that are not yet published.
Recent tab: Displays up to 20 recently opened reports in reverse chronological order, each marked as Published or Unpublished.
Homepage reports: Displays reports set as home page. Both the Default Application Home Page and any report set as Custom Home page for some users / user groups (view Reports Permissions) are listed.
Available Functionality
When navigating reports, you can perform the following actions:
Click a report to open it in the preview panel.
Click a folder or template to open or close it. Folders display the reports they contain; templates display the reports using them.
Hover over a report or template and click the ellipsis icon that appears on the right. Available functionalities depend on user permissions and the selected element.
Common Report Operations
Copy
The function is available to a report in any tab. Clicking it a new report, copy of the selected report, will be automatically created and opened to be edited. The new report will be configured exactly as the copied report (e.g. template, report settings, ..). The new report will be unpublished and will be automatically selected in the Unpublished tab.
Copy as Free Format Report
The function is available to a report using a Free Format Template, in any tab. Clicking on it a new report (copy of the selected report) will be automatically created and opened to be edited. The new report will be configured as Free Format Report (i.e. its layout can be edited without impact on any other report / template). Apart from that the new report will be configured exactly as the copied report (e.g. report settings, list used). The new report will be unpublished and will be automatically selected in the Unpublished tab.
Convert to Free Format Report
The function is available to a report using a Free Format Template, in any tab. Clicking on it the report will be converted to Free Format Report. This allows to edit its layout without impacting any other report. The report will keep all its current settings (e.g. report settings, list used) and also the associated menu positions (if any).
Convert to Free Format Template
The function is available only to a Free Format Report, in any tab. Clicking on it a popup will appear allowing to set the name of the new Free Format Template. After setting a name, the new template will be created and the original report will be linked to it.
Operations on Published Reports
When you hover over a published report in the Reports panel and click the ellipsis icon that appears on the right, you might see the following options:
Unpublish
This function completely unpublishes the report from all locations/folders in which it is available. Home reports cannot be unpublished.
Place in Folder
This function allows you to add a published report to another folder. In the popup dialog:
Select a different folder to add the report to.
Select Next.
Adjust the report position in the new folder by dragging and dropping (it is placed at the last position by default).
Select Next.
Select the users and user groups who can view the report in the new folder if you have the "Report Security Admin" permission.
Select Publish.
Remove from Folder
The function is available only to reports in the Published tab with By folder being selected. It enables the deletion of a report from the current folder. If this is the only folder where the report is stored, the report will turn to Unpublished.
Generate Report Preview
The function will generate the preview for the selected report. The preview settings will be configured in the Application Settings.
Operations on Unpublished Reports
When you hover over an unpublished report in the Reports panel and click the ellipsis icon that appears on the right, you will see the following options:
Publish
This function allows you to publish a report to a folder. In the Publish dialog:
Select a folder to publish the report to.
Select Next.
Adjust the report position in the folder by dragging and dropping. By default it is placed at the last position.
Select Next.
Select the users and user groups who can view the report in the folder if you have the "Report Security Admin" permission.
Select Publish.
Delete
The function enables you to remove an unpublished report. A confirmation popup will appear. You need to confirm to remove the report from the system.
Template Operations
When you hover over a template in the Reports panel and click the ellipsis icon that appears on the right, you might see the following options.
Templates are available in the Published tab when By template is selected and in the Unpublished tab.
Create New Report
The function automatically creates a new report using the selected template.
Delete Template
The function is available only to a Free Format Template which has no associated Report. The function is available only in the Published tab. Clicking on it a confirmation popup will appear asking confirmation in order to delete the template.
It can happen that even if a Free Format Template appears not to have associated reports in the Published tab, the delete function do not appear as there are unpublished reports using the template. In this case the administrator needs first to delete the associated unpublished reports from Unpublished tab, and then select again Published tab in order to delete the template.
