Application Settings
Selecting 'Application Settings' under 'Tools' in the upper menu, the administrator can set the general settings, generate report previews, password requirements and set account for statistics.
General
Default Application Home Page
Default Application Home determines the report to appear in the Home Page when users log in CXO. The Home Page report will be visible to all users, independently from their permissions.
A custom Home Page can be set for specific users through the Reports Permissions Tab in the popup to create or edit users and users groups. Only users with Report Admin permission can set the Default Application Home Page.
Both the Default Application Home Page and Custom Home Pages appear in the Open Report Panel under 'Home' group in Reports by Menu Tab.
Point of View
Point of View depth, with this setting you can influence the depth of the dimension hierarchies as they appear in the Point of View bar of the reports Increasing this number may affect the performance of CXO.
Automatic preview: By turning off this setting a report will not update automatically. This allows you to configure all POV members and press on refresh when you are done. This setting is specifically helpful when using slower sources.
Variance
Variance can be used to set a default for the variances which can be overwritten per report.
If the absolute value of the variance exceeds the Maximum Variance then you can decide to either show nothing or replace the variance by a fixed value. This value can be specified in the MaximumVarianceDisplay parameter. The format of this parameter is <{0}%;>{0}%
- The part at the left of the ';' is used as a replacement for variances less than the negative value of the Maximum Variance
- The part at the right of the ';' is used as a replacement for variances greater than the positive value of the Maximum Variance
- The {0} will be replaced by the value of the Maximum Variance. For example: if the Maximum Variance is set to 1, then a variance of more than 100 % will be replaced by '>100%'
- You can leave the field also empty: then variances exceeding Maximum Variance will be suppressed
Storyboards
Storyboard settings can be used to make standard settings such as default entity or period.
Other
Show 'Drill All Rows' button enables the plus buttons Drill down all rows to be displayed at the top-left corner of tables in multiple column templates. The plus button allows you to expand/collapse all the rows in a table with one click.
On a table-by-table basis, report administrators can disable these Drill down all rows buttons as needed, using the Show Drill All Button setting.
However, if Show 'Drill All Rows' button is not enabled in the application settings, the drill-all feature will be completely disabled across all tables and cannot be activated individually.
