New CXO Designer
The Admin user is the one that can create and modify shared objects like variables, formats, cube calculations and lists, create reports, modify or delete any report, create new private objects from scratch or based on a copy of a shared object, menu groups, menu items etc. All of these can be done in the CXO Designer.
Access CXO Designer
To access the CXO Designer, you should be an admin user.
Log in to the CXO application.
In the menu bar on the left, click the Profile button at the bottom.
Click CXO Designer. The CXO Designer is displayed.
Designer Components
The CXO Designer is the place where CXO reports can be designed and maintained by the Admin.
The CXO Designer contains the following components:
- Left-Side Menu Bar: options depend on the user permissions.
- Reports panel: displays published, unpublished, recent, and homepage reports.
- Preview panel: contains a preview of the current report.
- CONTENTS panel: appears at the bottom of the Designer to allow managing the lists used in the report.
- SETTINGS panel: contains all the report settings.

Left-Side Menu Bar
After the admin enters the CXO Designer, options will be available in the vertical menu bar on the Left. Available options depend on the User Permissions.
Home: Displays the Recent page with up to 12 recently opened reports. Reports appear as preview cards ordered left to right and top to bottom, with the most recently opened report in the top-left corner. Click any card to open the associated report.
Reports: Displays the published, unpublished, recent, and homepage reports.
Users and User Groups
Shared objects: Shared objects include Lists, Cube Calculations, Variables, Formats, Palettes, Menu Items, Narrative Templates, System Announcements.
Tools: Entries to various tools.
Profile: Allows to go back to the CXO dashboard, change the interface language, and log out.
