A REDESIGNED DESIGNER EXPERIENCE AND UNIVERSAL EPM CONNECTIVITY
CXO 26.2 introduces the start of a reimagined CXO Designer with a modern navigation framework aligned to CXO Dashboard, along with the OBDF Adapter, which connects CXO to a wider range of EPM systems.
Highlights include:
CXO Designer Reimplementation - A Modern Navigation Framework
OBDF Adapter - A Universal Adapter for CXO
A Modern Interface and Broader Connectivity
CXO 26.2 delivers a redesigned Designer experience and expanded connectivity across your EPM landscape. These enhancements modernize the look and feel of report building and administration, and they make it easier to bring data into CXO from a wider range of systems.
CXO Designer Reimplementation - A Modern Navigation Framework
As a first step in modernizing the Designer, this release introduces a new navigation framework and a refreshed interface. It is part of an ongoing effort to rebuild the Designer on a modern technical foundation. It now features a green menu bar to the left of the screen, aligning the look and feel of the Designer with CXO Dashboard for a more modern, consistent experience.
Modern Look and Feel: The Top Header Menu is replaced with a green menu bar to the left of the screen, similar to CXO Dashboard, giving the Designer a refreshed interface that looks more modern and stays in line with the rest of CXO.
Familiar Functionality, Reimplemented: This first phase reimplements existing functionality as is, including publishing reports, copying reports, deleting reports, converting reports to templates, the Recent page with previews, and the new report wizard.
Built on a Modern Technical Foundation: The Designer is being rebuilt on a modern technical foundation, moving from AngularJS to React. This work underpins the refreshed interface and prepares the Designer for future enhancements.
Flexible Adoption: When you install CXO 26.2.0, the new Designer loads by default. You can always switch back to the previous Designer from the Configurator by disabling the Feature Switch, giving you control over when to move to the new experience.
The First Phase of a Multi-Phase Journey: This release is the first phase of a multi-phase process focused on reimplementing existing functionality. Later phases will build on this foundation with improvements shaped by customer feedback.

OBDF Adapter - A Universal Adapter for CXO
A new adapter connects CXO to the Open Business Data Fabric (OBDF), the insightsoftware data layer that provides connectivity and prebuilt business views across a range of EPM and business systems. The new adapter lets CXO leverage OBDF's data connectivity and prebuilt business views. This opens up enhanced connectivity with other EPM systems, streamlines data integration, and reduces custom adapter development. Setting up integration through OBDF is handled on a case-by-case basis with Professional Services, so customers can reach out to their Account Manager or CSM to learn more.
Connect to a Wider Range of EPM Systems: Connect CXO to a wider range of EPM systems using OBDF's (prebuilt) business views. Data can be pulled in from other EPM systems without configuring a custom adapter.
Streamlined Data Integration: Select OBDF as a connection or data source type when setting up a new integration in CXO. Once connected, OBDF's prebuilt business views are available directly within CXO, removing the time and cost of building and maintaining custom adapters.
Cross-Platform Consolidation and Reporting: Support EPM system integration, cross-platform data consolidation and reporting, and connect CXO to third-party systems for consolidated reporting across your broader EPM landscape.
