Create an About us Free Format Template (hidden)

This article will take you trough the steps of creating a sample generic template showing:

  • A world map
  • A formatted data table
  • Three bridge controls zooming in to variances

Upload a Picture

We start with uploading a picture we will use in our Template. Use below Picture. Read the How do I Upload an Image to Use in a Browser Control? article for instructions.

Add a Browser Control

  1. Select the Browser Control.
  2. Insert the link to the Picture you just uploaded in the Browser URL Parameter.
  3. Finish the wizard
  4. Right click the Web Control to open the properties. Set the Width to 1000 and the Height to 620.
  5. Save Layout

Add a Table

  1. Select the Table Control.
  2. Select an existing list for the rows. (we've used Comma Communications' KPI for Home Page list)
  3. Select an existing list for the columns. (we've used Comma Communications' Actual to Budget list)
  4. Edit the Control Properties to Not show a Border and to have a width of 310 and a height of 270.
  5. Drag the control to the Upper right corner of the Web Control
  6. Save Layout.

Add a Bridge

  1. Select the Bridge Control
  2. Name it Revenue
  3. Select an existing list for the Beginning and the End. (we've used Comma Communications' Budget to Actual - Revenue list)
  4. Select an existing list for the Movements. (we've used Comma Communications' __EntityChildrenExclusive list)
  5. Finish the Wizard
  6. Set the Bridge Control Properties to not Show Border, have a Width of 320 and a Height of 220.
  7. Drag the Bridge Control to the Lower Right Corner of the Web Control.
  8. Save Layout.

Add another Bridge

  1. Select the Bridge Control
  2. Name it EBITDA
  3. Select an existing list for the Beginning and the End. (we've used Comma Communications' Budget to Actual - Ebitda list)
  4. Select an existing list for the Movements. (we've used Comma Communications' __EntityChildrenExclusive list)
  1. Finish the Wizard
  2. Set the Bridge Control Properties to not Show Border, have a Width of 320 and a Height of 220.
  3. Drag the Bridge Control to the Lower Middle of the Web Control.
  4. Save Layout.

Add another Bridge

  1. Select the Bridge Control
  2. Name it Headcount
  3. Select an existing list for the Beginning and the End. (we've used Comma Communications' Budget to Actual - Headcount list)
  4. Select an existing list for the Movements. (we've used Comma Communications' __EntityChildrenExclusive list)
  1. Finish the Wizard
  2. Set the Bridge Control Properties to not Show Border, have a Width of 320 and a Height of 220.
  3. Drag the Bridge Control to the Lower Right Corner of the Web Control.
  4. Save Layout.
